Traveling with us is another choice to help and develop our society

Since 2003, We, GREEN DISCOVERY Adventure travel & Eco-tourism Specialist in Laos (GDL), have had a Community Development and Study Tour group from Japan. We operated this program twice a year. This is our sixth year of implementation. The final tour of 2008, will be held on 4th to 9th August. Even though, these students are from big cities and living modern life style, but we believe nowadays that there are more people, particularly students interested in experimenting through learning hands on about ancient or undeveloped life styles. The table below shows the increasing number of study tour students from 2003 until now.

As you can see from the table above, there are more and more students showing interest in this type of tour where one’s can make a positive change in the villager’s lives.

We would like to offer you this creative variety study tour for those of you that looking for a place to lend a helping hand and development where part of your well spent money go directly to our local villagers in the rural area. You will not learn everything about their daily lifestyle for short-term home stays, especially with the language and cultural challenges, but more importantly, at least you will get a glimpse of experience and hands on participation in their daily routines such as: raising animal, farming, gardening, cooking, and interaction with family and other villagers.
