Departure from Green Discovery Laos at 8:30 am, we drive 45 minutes on paved road, another 20 minutes on dusty road to our starting point at Ban That Khonkeo, a Lao Loum village. We make a short visit to the village before going up to the little Khon Keo River before having orientation on the kayaks. Kayak about one and a half hour, we stop to visit a cave and then come back for a swim on the clear refreshing river before having a picnic lunch.
After lunch, kayak passes a few rapids (depending on the river level). Along the way, note the rock formations, one in particular looks like the head of an eagle. See who can be the first to spot it! Enjoy the rest of this kayaking cruise until we get to our pull out point at the Nam Pakan Bridge. Pack our gear for a transport back to ThaKhek,  approximately 30 minutes.
