Departure from Tha Khek, we drive east into the Phou Hin Boun Protected Area. Stop is made along the way to visit Tha Falang, a scenic river area. On arrival at Ban Na village, we join the village guides before following the Nam Don River visiting the caves, swimming holes and a historic stupa. Along the way, we’ll also learn about local plants and animals. Lunch is served on the trail at a resurgence cave.
In the late afternoon, we arrive in a village where we will stay overnight. There is time to explore the village and observe the community's daily life. In the evening, the villagers will cook dinner for us and organize a traditional Baci ceremony and cultural performance.
Approximately: 2 ½ hours transfer/ 5 hours trekking
End of 1 day tour: We return to Thakhek from Nakue (Approximately: 2 ½ hours transfer)

Following breakfast, we continue the trek through mountain and bamboo forests to Na Kue village for lunch. After lunch, we continue trekking to the untouched Khoun Kong Leng Lake for relaxing and swimming. Afterward, we set up our camps on the beach of this beautiful lagoon, where we spend the night.
Returning to Na Kue village for lunch, we'll take a “lod Thai “tractor ride, which drops us off at the trail head to Khon Keo river. On arrival at Khon Keo rapids in the late afternoon, a short walk will take us to Khon Keo village where transportation is available to return us to Thakhek.
Approximately: 5 hours trekking
