Depart from Luang Prabang, we drive to trekking starting point at Ban Vang Lae of Lao Leu village. From here we take the fishing boat to cross the Nam Ou River and trek through the growing forest and rice field.
We climb to a hidden cave called Pha Long Cave which was used as bomb shelter during Second Indochina War. We then continue to Ban Kok on the Mekong River for lunch.
After lunch, we cross the Mekong River by a local fishing boat to Ban Muang Keo for a visit. We continue trekking through the forest to the Pak Ou Cave (the 1000 Buddha Cave) and visit to upper Cave and lower Cave. From here, we paddle to Ban Xang Hai, a Lao Lao making village. A pickup takes us back to Luang Prabang
