On arrival in Pakse, our guide will meet you at the airport. We drive eastward to Tad Fane Resort for check in.
In the afternoon, you can take a walk around the Tad Fane Resort located on top of the thickly forested gorge with stunning view of the tall Tad Fane Waterfall far below, this is a truly idyllic place. The comfortable wooden bungalows are very well designed to blend into the forest.

Following breakfast, we take a short drive to Katoun hill tribe village where we start our trekking. We then trek under the shade of huge coffee plantation farm. The speciality of Bolaven Plateau! We’ll cross the road to Tad Yieng Waterfall for lunch.
After lunch, there is time for swimming. We’ll continue trekking back to Tad Fan thru growing secondary forest full of big trees. When arrive back to Tad Fan Resort, we drive back to Pakse.
Champasak Palace offers the best view in town. Open kitchen and rooftop dinner are the highlights of the place!

In the morning, we’ll visit Wat Phou, occupying a dramatic mountainside site over looking the Mekong valley. The wat is divided into lower and upper parts and is joined by a steep stairway .After visiting Wat Phou, we stop for lunch at the boat restaurant.
We’ll head south via Ou Moung where all rocks to build Wat Phou had go by. We arrive in King Fisher Resort. After check in, there is time for a short rest. We’ll enjoy elephant riding from Ban Kiet Ngong up to the archeological site of Phou Asa which overlooks the Pha Pho wetland, rich with bird life.

After breakfast at the lodge, we travel to Ban Nakasang. From here, we’ll take a short boat ride to Don Det. We then drive by truck thru Don Det and cross the railway bridge (the only line the French ever laid in Laos) to Don Khone, and continue to the dramatic Somphamit Waterfall, a well worth visiting place. We’ll enjoy lunch at Don Khone before driving to Done Khong for the night.
4000 Island (Si Phan Don) is one of nature’s marvels. Here the Mekong suddenly fans out, forming an intricate, beautiful network of channels, rocks and sandbars and island of 14km wide.

Note: In summer time, Si Phan Don gets very high temperature. In the small islands, there is no electricity except Don Khong.
We leave 4000 Islands and head toward south for our Cambodia adventure. Before crossing the border, we’ll visit Khone Phapheng Waterfall and boat to see dolphin. Si Phan Don is home to the rare Irrawady dolphins, which can often be spotted at the southern tip of Don Khon island, along with tow impressive waterfalls
Our car and guide from Cambodia will pick you up at Dong Krolor (land border) between Laos & Cambodia then transfer to Stung Streng Town, 210km from Pakse and 40km from the border.
After check in, we visit the capital of the province, Stung Treng. In this province you will see the Mekong River. Stung Treng is the first province that meets Mekong River in Cambodia. We’ll take a small boat with a sort trip along Mekong River and visit a local market. Dinner is on your own arrangement but there are many riverside Khmer and a western restaurant in town the serves traditional Khmer and easy western meals.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we’ll travel to Ratanakiri, the province bordering with Vietnam, with thickly forested hill terrain, hill tribe people - population of around 75,000, waterfalls and abundant wildlife. It also called the highlands of Cambodia. The road is a bit rough. We’ll reach the town of Banlung before lunch time. There is time for a sort rest at the hotel. Lunch is on your own arrangement.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit a very nice lake in the highland called Yeak Loam. It is 5km from Banlung, a small but scenic crate lake of an extinct volcano with a trail around the edge. Please inform our guide if you want to swim there after a long trip. We get back to the town in the late afternoon. Dinner is on your own arrangement.

Day 7: Rattanakiri – Kratie (B) 
After breakfast, we continue our journey to Kratie by National road no 07. When traveling along the National Road to the North about 15 Kilometers from the Provincial Town, we will pass by the bridge of Prek Kam Py where we have seen a very novel view of the Mekong River consisting of thousands of islands full of green water plants.
Kratie is the natural and historical resort, located at Thmor Kre Commune. Kratie District is 11 kilometers far from the provincial town by the National Road No 7, then turning more 500 meters to the mountain. Phnom Sam Bokit is the cultural and main tourist resort of Kratie Province. The resort has a good location and assured safety.
In the after noon, we get on small boat to take a trip along the Mekong River and Kampy Resort. It’s the great natural resort where it is home for over 100 protected Mekong River Dolphins. They are 2-2.8m in length and 180kg in weight and information on conservation and the protection programs are available dock side.

Today is a full day travel to the south from Kratie crossing Kompong Cham. We make a short stop at Nokor Bachey Temple. This historical site is 2.2 kilometer from the Kampong Cham provincial town along the National road No 7. The temple can be accessible by all types of vehicles. In the temple site is divided into: Tonle Om: Size 400 Meters x 500 Meters located at the East of the temple in approximately 300 metres distance from the temple. We’ll stop for overnight at Kom Pong Thom province down town.
Kampong Thom is Cambodia’s second largest province. At the geographical heart of the country, it is home to some of Cambodia’s most splendid cultural and natural heritage. Halfway between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Kampong Thom town is situated on the banks of the Saen River. It is easy to reach from either direction and is an inviting starting point to explore some of the country’s most alluring tourism highlights. Kampong Thom is unspoiled Cambodia at its very best.

In the morning, we’ll drive to Sambor Prei Kuk, the antique capital of Chenla (early 7th century), originally called Ishanapura, Sambor Prei Kuk. It’ is a home to the most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments with more than 100 temples scattered through the lush forest. We’ll visit Kompong Kdei Bridge (the ancient bridge of made 1000 years ago by stone) located in Siem Reap Province along National Road No 6, 60km southeast of the Siem Reap Town. It is 80m long and 14m wide and has 21 axes. To preserve the valuable cultural bridge, Mr. Bernard Phillippe Groslier, the French Angkor curator, restored it in 1965. At the age of 1,000 years, the bridge is still being used as main infrastructure for facilitating the heavy loaded trucks. We arrive in Siem Reap for check – in.

After breakfast, we’ll visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of Elephant, Terrace of Leper King and Phimeanakas. Lunch is on your own arrangement.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue visit Ta Promh temple, then back to visit Angkor Wat Temple and Sunset from Bakheng Hill. Dinner is on your own arrangement. Siem Riep is a city where every taste is available.

Following breakfast, we’ll visit Banteay Srei temple, then back to visit Banteay Samre temple. Lunch is on your own arrangement.
In the afternoon, if time permit, we’ll visit the Old Market, and then transfer to the airport for flight departure.
