Depart from Pakse, we drive along the road number 13 toward south and then turn to an off road leading to Ban Lak 11. The drive passes through the rubber tree plantation for about one hour. Get off the transport, we walk down hill with local guide who bring our raft/kayak through the forest to the river bank. After some instruction, we paddle down stream of white and clean river sneaking through jungle.
Fun and great day with many sets of rapids class 2-3. Amazing small waterfall a long edge of the river Houay Bang Lieng can be seen. Picnic lunch stop is made along river bank, opposite a great water fall coming out from the deep jungle. After 2 hours paddling through isolate area of jungle, local people fishing and gardening can be seen. We drive back to Pakse in the late afternoon.
Approximately: 1 hour walking/ 40 minites transfer/4 and ½ to 5 hours kayaking or rafting depending on water levels
Note: The trip is doable during the wet season from June to December
