We start from Don Det office paddling down to the old French railway bridge to Don Khone. We continue paddling down to the stunning Liphi falls. Stop is made in a safe place above the waterfall. We go to the falls for a closer look. Then we carry our gear around the Liphi fall and get back onto our kayak at the lower part of the waterfall. On the way, we stop for lunch and a swim. After lunch, we continue paddling down the Mekong to see to dolphins that congregate in an area close to the border to Cambodia. After visiting the dolphins we paddle for another 4 km to get to Veunkham, and then take a drive to Khone Phapheng waterfall, before returning to Don Det.
