Depart from Pakse office, we drive up to Ban Km 33 to start trekking, then head downhill about one and a half hours pass the bamboo forest to Bang Lieng River below the Tad Fane waterfalls, cross the local bridge and take a short swim to a beautiful spot to view Champassak, and nice waterfalls in the jungle. Lunch is served on the way. At 1,030 meters above sea level, it is a bit cooler here. Then we walk for another hour to the waterfalls close to our camp site and enjoy swimming there before dinner is served.
Approximately: 40 minutes transfer/ 4½ - 5 hours trekking
After breakfast at 9 a.m. we continue hiking up the mountain, passing coffee plantations and a river. Today we will enjoy and experience the jungle, where we can see animals and different kinds of birds. If we are lucky we will see monkeys and wild pigs. After lunch we continue our trek to a cave and cliff to look over Champassak and camp overnight there.
Approximately: 3½ - 4 hours trekking
After breakfast, trek for three and a half hours in the jungle before reaching Bang Lieng River. Stop for lunch and swimm here. After lunch, we head uphill for about 3 hours and finish the trip at Ban Km 33. Return to Pakse at about 5:30 pm.
