In the morning, we will be transferred for an excursion to Ban Somesamai. Here, you cross Nam Ngum River on a traditional long-tailed boat, to the village of Veune Thane. Next, you start a soft trek in the forest nearby the village and re-embark on the boat to travel down the river to Ban Pako Resort, where your lunch will be served in a relaxing and beautiful setting.
After lunch, we take a walk around the resort. This site has a very special history and the archaeology of the place dates back 1500 years. It can be found all over the site. We have time for tubing or swimming in the river and then return, through rural area, to Vientiane.
We return, through rural area, to Vientiane in the afternoon.
Approximately: 3 ½ hours transfer / 1 ½ hour trekking
