Trekking around Luang Namtha
Trekking in Luang Namtha is one of the 'must do in Laos'. Trek through jungle, dense forest, rice paddies, river banks and farmlands and visit Lanten and Khmu people in remote villages that can only be accessed by foot or by boat.
Enjoy 2 days trekking trough the Nam Ha jungle, rice paddies, Lanten villages and stay overnight in the forest camp in the heart of the Nam Ha National Protected Area! During this tour, our guides will explain use of different plants, wild vegetables and mushrooms and you will learn how to use bamboo to create different handicrafts. This tour is best during the dry season (from October to June) as you can enjoy bird watching and night safari to see the NPA local habitants like dears and monkeys.
2 days treking and jungle camp (Best in the dry season)
Enjoy trekking through Lanten and Khmu Villages that can only be accessed by foot or boat. The trail climbs a ridge bordering the Nam Ha River and through the dense forest which borders the Nam Ha Protected Area. Spend day 2 kayaking down the Nam Ha River through the National Protected Area and enjoy some exciting rapids of grade 2 to 3.

This tour is ideal for the people with limited time but want to experience a typical tropical forest and visit some unique villages. The trek will pass mainly primary and few patches of secondary forest of Nam Ha National Park.

This trip takes us through three Lanten Villages and two Khmu villages which can only be accessed by foot or by boat.

This one day trek offers great hiking through beautiful farmland and forests as well as visiting a variety of different ethnic groups including the Sida who have only two villages in the whole of Laos! The tour has two options dependant on the participants, one easy and the other a more challenging option.

Then kayaking down the lower part of the Nam Ha River through the a National Park.The return on mountain bikes will be along a rough road along the Namtha River with views of the protected area. This trip takes us through Lanten and Khmu villages that can only be accessed via foot or by boat. The trail leads us through jungle, along rice paddies and river banks. Learn about traditional agricultural practices and the uses of the forest by the locals. Cycle along the banks of the Namtha river with the Nam Ha Protected area sitting peacefully on the opposite side.

Stay for three days entirely within the forests of the Nam Ha National Protected Area an ASEAN Heritage Site. It is a trip for those who want a true 'forest experience' and to immerse in the beauty of the jungle. First night camp in the heart of the jungle and the second night Khmu or Lanten villagers will be your hosts. Along the way, local guides explain the forest products use for food, medicine, construction materials and religious ceremonies.
This trip takes us through three Lanten and two Khmu villages before the trail leads us through the forest area which borders the Nam Ha Protected Area. On day two we cross over the Nam Ha River and cut through the dense forest which is abundant with wildlife. On the trip we will learn about traditional agricultural practices and the uses of the forest.
(2 days trek, 1 day kayak)
We spend the first day of the tour paddling through the calm waters of the Nam Tha river. Stopping every so often to explore some of the villages along the banks and observing the vast selection of wildlife. On day two we trek through Lanten and Khmu villages. The trail leads us through the jungle, across rice paddies and along the riverside.
